Straylands Harvest is a no-till vegetable farm started in Red Rock, TX by Olivia Chow, Adam Antonacci, Dusty Davis, and Devon Sisneros. We follow organic practices. Bonded by our desire to abundantly eat quality produce and to create independence from the mainstream food systems, we’ve combined our diverse experiences to launch a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) weekly subscription in spring 2023.
Olivia brings her business acumen from building her own consulting business from the ground up advising startups to Fortune 500 companies on innovation. Adam had helped launch several of Austin’s beloved restaurant kitchens developing recipes, growing their food, and setting up processes. He also worked for several of Austin’s farmers market vendors, including the city’s largest at the time, Johnson’s Backyard Garden (JBG), where he met and worked with Dusty and Devon — also self-proclaimed market junkies. Dusty worked for a number of local farms including learning from Montana at Dancing Bear Farms and then running the market garden for Microbial Earth Farms. Devon’s active cultivation of relationships beyond JBG landed her a position at Sustainable Food Center (SFC), a non-profit that runs two farmers markets in the Austin area and supports local food systems. There she supervises the organization’s market crew, works to maintain vendor relations and learns from the agriculture vendors that attend SFC markets.
We feel truly lucky to have met each other and want to share with you the Texas harvest we’ve always wanted. Follow us on Instagram @straylandsharvest for updates. Welcome to Straylands, y’all.
